What is a Physical Therapist?
Physical Therapists are university trained and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring the following:
- Prescription for Physical Therapy from your doctor
- Insurance cards
- A photo I.D.
- Cash or check for copay/deductible
- Medication list
- MRI/scan reports (if you have them)
How many visits will I need?
The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the Physical Therapist will discuss the treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing and footwear that will allow you to move freely when you exercise and will also allow you to expose the area we will be treating.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
No, Physical Therapists can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. However most health insurers require a doctors referral before they authorize treatments.
